Internship
As an essential requirement of the MBA degree, students are required to undertake an internship while pursuing the degree. The primary objective of the internship is to provide the student with a real life, on-the-job exposure to work situation. The internship provides an opportunity to a student to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to real life business situations. The internship is conducted under the dual supervision of our faculty member and the business leader from the organization, to which the case pertains.
The internship is of 3 credits and the normal duration of the internship is 8 weeks. On the MBA program, the internship assignment is taken in the fifth term and on the MBAe program, it is taken in the seventh term.
Placement
The placement, career guidance and support cell of the institute ensures that our graduates are capable of tapping the best opportunities the job market offers. The key responsibilities of this cell are to guide the graduates to make an informed career decision, enable them to acquire the knowledge and skills required for the job and ensure that they have full confidence in themselves. The Placement Cell also conducts a career planning workshop for the sixth term students to orient the students about expectations of the job market and to prepare them to take on these job opportunities.
On the other hand, the placement cell manages the recruiter perception and ensures that the graduates tap the extensive institutional network of the institute. The cell also ensures that graduates are adequately exposed to the job market and it liaises with the alumni and executives to enhance opportunities of employment.
