In the Ace A-Level programme, students are required to appear for two separate examinations during the two years - the AS Level examination on completion of the first year and the A2 Level examination on completion of the second year.

All students are required to enroll in five management related courses at Ace. Students need to take all of the compulsory subjects and can choose any one subject from those on offer from the optional papers. Both non-credit courses are compulsory for all students. The subjects on offer are as follows:

Curricular Structure

Compulsory Papers Optional Papers
Business Studies Mathematics
Economics Psychology
Accounting Sociology
General Paper
non-credit course I - Developing management skills
non-credit course II - Developing social service skills

There will be two term examinations within the academic year. A trial examination will also be held at the end of the academic session. These examinations will focus on preparing the students to understand the examination pattern thoroughly.

Apart from the subjects on offer, it is also compulsory for students of the Ace A-Level programme to take up two non-credit courses. The first is a team based project on developing management skills during the first year and the second is an independent social work project during the second year.

non-credit course I - Developing management skills

Students in the Ace A-Level programme are required to undertake a compulsory team assignment that helps them to develop their management skills. This project has to be undertaken during the first year of study. The project work involves initiating, organizing, coordinating and managing an event or a function within the college premises. The team will have to prepare a proposal and make a presentation of their plan. Once approved, they will need to implement the plan and then make a review report after the event has been completed. Students will be expected to commit 60 individual working hours to the project.

non-credit course II - Developing social service skills

Students in the Ace A-Level programme are required to undertake a compulsory independent social work project. This project has to be undertaken during the second year of study. The project work involves placement in approved organizations, field work and a report write up and presentation of the work undertaken. Students will be expected to commit 120 individual working hours to the social work.
